Hurricane Redskins Hold 1st of Flex Practices.
The Hurricane Redskins just completed State Championships in Boys Track and Softball, and the HHS Baseball team is 2 victories away from a State Championship. That could only mean one thing........It must be time for Football!.
Well maybe not quite yet, but the Redskins held their first "Flex" Practice of the season. It was time to see which players have been working hard in the off season to get into prime shape, and which others may have taken the "Off" season.....off.
All in all it was a fairly typical Redskins' practice, which meant it was up tempo, quick paced with lots of instruction. For the many new faces, be they incoming Freshman, or Upperclassmen new to the gridiron, it was a good introduction to how a Redskin football practice is handled.
It was strange not to see the Graduated Seniors such as Lunsford, Watson, Williams, Giacomo, and Shine out on the field, there was a Cole Runion sighting albeit in an observatory role.
The theme of the post practice comments was...Trust. Trust in themselves and their teammates.
"being a champion is a journey we all share," stated Defensive Coordinator Jason Pratt. The first step in that journey was taken Tuesday evening.
